Management team

Per Jacobsen – President, CEO, and Co-founder of MIPro
Founder of MMI (now Synovate Norway) and served as its CEO from 1970 through 1995. Under his direction, MMI was transformed from a small in-house company to one of the leading full service institutes in Northern Europe. Mr Jacobsen co-founded MI Pro to develop Research Studio, an enterprise level integrated market research application.

Bjørn Grønli – CTO, and Co-founder of MI Pro
Has extensive knowledge of market research solutions and applications. Before co-founding MI Pro, he spent the 1990′s doing pioneering market research work at MMI including the development of the Mark-IT system. His previous work includes six years at IBM, where his engineering focus included systems integration, scientific systems, and communications. He installed the first internet nodes in Norway and Finland in 1987.

Pål Sesseng – CMO and Co-owner of MI Pro.
Pål (Paul) is responsible for Marketing and Clients Business Solutions in MI Pro. For the last 10 years he has been responsible for support and implementing Research Studio at clients in both Scandinavia, UK and US. Previously Pål was working 10 years as senior consultant and R&D director in MMI (Synovate), 4 years as a marketing manager in Rieber & Son (Denja) and 3 years as product group manager at Lilleborg (Unilever).
 

Mark Van Walwyk – Managing director, MI Pro UK.
16 years with GfK, working across multiple divisions of the company. Mark spent his last 7 years with GfK working in the consumer panels division, during this period Mark managed the project to convert the their postal panels to multi-modal panels using online and CATI data collection. Prior to starting his career in Market Research he worked as a programmer which explains his passion for adding automation to all aspects of research.
 

Simon Vaarning – Chief architect and Co-owner of MI Pro
Responsible for MI Pro system architecture and development. Has a Masters degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Lund University. Simon has more than ten years experience in designing and implementing enterprise solutions based on complex client requirements.

Per Valentin – Lead software engineer and Co-owner of MI Pro
Holds a Master´s degree in Computer Science from the University of Lund, Sweden, including studies in Mathematics and Statistical Mathematics. Per has more than 10 years of professional experience as a Systems Architect and Developer with a wide knowledge of different platforms and technologies.
